Healite II LED Therapy

Healite II uses Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) delivered by LED (light-emitting diode) technology. It emits specific wavelengths of light that interact with skin cells to support natural processes such as cellular recovery and tissue repair.

The device delivers light wavelengths in a non-thermal way, meaning it does not heat or damage skin tissue.

Healite II uses different wavelengths of LED light, including:

  • Near-infrared light to reach deeper layers of skin and support biological activity at a cellular level.

  • Other visible wavelengths to support superficial tissue responses.

This form of light therapy, sometimes referred to as photobiomodulation, is used by trained clinicians to support natural body processes in specific health and skin-related contexts.

Conditions Commonly Assessed

Healite II may be offered to support a range of common skin concerns, including:

  • Post-procedure recovery: Helping calm skin after treatments such as laser or needling

  • Inflammation and redness: Where a practitioner determines light therapy is appropriate

  • Acne-related irritation: As supportive care alongside other management strategies

  • Skin healing and barrier recovery: Following clinician assessment

  • General skin revitalisation support: When clinically indicated

Suitability depends on your individual skin, medical history, and treatment goals. Outcomes vary, and LED therapy is used as part of clinician-directed care rather than as a standalone cure or guaranteed solution.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • Consultation: Before treatment, you will have an in-person assessment with one of our registered health practitioners.

  • Treatment Delivery: We will tailor the therapy to your individual clinical plan. There is typically minimal downtime post-treatment, with most patients returning to usual activities immediately, with proper sun-protection. Make up can be applied immediately.

  • Aftercare: You will receive guidance on post-treatment care relevant to your overall treatment plan.

As with many clinical services, individual outcomes vary and are dependent on personal factors and the nature of your treatment plan.

Your Consultation

Your consultation for LED light therapy using Healite II is designed to make sure any treatment is appropriate. During your appointment, we will:

  • Discuss your concerns and goals: You can explain what you’d like support with and what outcomes are important to you.

  • Review your medical and skin history: This helps identify any factors that may influence treatment suitability or safety.

  • Assess your skin in person: An assessment guides whether LED therapy may be appropriate as part of your care plan.

  • Explain how the therapy works: We will describe what the treatment involves, how sessions are structured, and where it may fit within a broader plan.

  • Discuss risks, benefits, and alternatives: You’ll receive balanced information so you can make an informed decision.

  • Create a personalised plan: If suitable, we will outline recommended timing, frequency, and aftercare guidance.

Every consultation is individual. Not everyone will be suitable for LED therapy, and outcomes vary depending on personal factors and the nature of your skin concerns.
